Tim Cooper

Tim was born in Western Australia and after completing his secondary education certificate began his apprenticeship with Fremantle TAFE which he completed in 1996 and began work at Western Construction where he worked until 2000.

After Western Construction he began work at General Petroleum Engineering as a Coded Welder, undertaking work on stainless steel tanks and piping. He worked there until 2002.  In Early 2003 he began work as leading hand at Hoffman engineering which included being part of the Safety Committee.

He re-joined Western Construction in 2004 as a welding supervisor under work to various codes using GTAW, FCAW,  MMAW and SAW;  welding all type of materials including duplex, super duplex, titanium, chrome molly and carbon steels.  He also oversaw the non-destructive testing of all welded components and was Western Construction’s  supervisor at Murrin Murrin and Boddington Gold mines. In September 2008 he joined Chambers Welding & Fabrication as QA/QC manager.

In 2018 he joined IPC to Supervise its Specialised Welding division.
