Our Shutdown Division encompasses a versatile range of capabilities, including assisting our clients with the pre-planning management and delivery of fixed plant maintenance and upgrades.

Reporting to the designated Shutdown Manager, your main areas of responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  1. Assist with the pre-planning and reviewing of scheduled work and labour requirements, prior to the commencement of the shutdown works
  2. Hands on Supervision, leading a team of trade and non-trade personnel to accomplish key deliverables within a major hazardous chemical facility
  3. Ensuring all maintenance works and activities are compliant with safe work practices, policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor and report progress on a daily basis against the client work schedule
  5. Record and monitor team members performance and address issues where necessary
  6. Supervise and conduct visual inspections of work to ensure it meets required standards and client specifications.
  7. Ability and willingness to work 12 hr day shift or night shift, whichever is applicable

Experience;

  1. Proven experience in the supervision of trade and non-trade personnel during a major plant shutdown environment.
  2. Previous experiencing in scoping planning and scheduling of work and labour requirements
  3. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Conversant with Microsoft Word/ Outlook & Excel
  5. Commissioning experience, focused around fixed plant maintenance
  6. Proficiency in assisting with the coordination a plant shutdown
  7. Working knowledge of project/shutdown management principles and computerized maintenance management systems

Essential Criteria;

  1. Australian recognised Trade Certificate / Qualification in Mechanical Trades
  2. A current Australian Drivers Licence 
  3. The ability to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screen – ongoing
  4. A strong commitment to OH&S
  5. Thorough understanding of site business requirements
  6. Must be clean shaven (site policy no exceptions)
